Most GTA homeowners are surprised that new countertops are not a same-day job — but the process is faster and less disruptive than a full renovation. Here is the realistic timeline.
Template one day, install a few days later
After cabinets are set, we template your kitchen — traditionally a one-day visit. The slab is then cut and fabricated in the shop, and installation usually happens a few days to about a week later depending on the stone and shop queue. Install itself is typically a few hours for a standard kitchen.
What can extend it
Custom or special-order slabs, large islands, complex seams and waterfall edges add fabrication time. Plumbing disconnect and reconnect for the sink and any tile backsplash work are separate steps to schedule around. We give you the real dates up front so you can plan the kitchen being out of service.
